Welcome to our website.
This year has been very busy, starting with our caucus in January, where we nominated eight very qualified candidates to run for township offices. On April 7th, our candidates did extremely well, with our trustee candidates coming within less than 1% to 3% of their incumbent Republican opponents.
Although Joe Kral was removed from the ballot by the township electoral board of Jim Moustis, Margo McDermed and Chuck Smith, he ran as a write-in candidate against seemingly impossible odds, and beat long-time incumbent Paul Ruff with almost 60% of the vote.
Our organization has been inspired by the support we garnered and the people we have met, and we are working toward furthering the Democratic Party's principles of fairness and advocacy for the people of Frankfort Township. We are also working to bring accountability to the current township board, ensuring that they work FOR their constituents, and operate openly.
We have much work to do to and are getting closer to reaching our goals. We are looking for new committeemen who will help us accomplish these objectives.
